WHAT IS MEDITATION? Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear, emotionally calm, and stable state. It is often practiced to reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.

Meditation can take many forms

Mindfulness Meditation: Focusing on being intensely aware of what you’re sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment.
Guided Meditation: Led by a guide or teacher, often involving visualization and deep breathing.
Transcendental Meditation: Involves the use of a mantra and is practiced for 20 minutes twice a day.
Loving-Kindness Meditation {Metta}: Cultivates an attitude of love and kindness towards oneself and others.
